Our Story

In 1976, in the heart of our small town, a humble combination laundromat and pool hall became holy ground. There, a small group of pioneers—driven by a bold dream of a church overflowing with the extravagant love of God for all people—gave birth to what would become the Florence Church of God. Moving forward with self-sacrificing love for God, for one another, and for the community at large, an authentic, Spirit-led community of faith was established. In 2005, as the church transitioned into its second permanent building, a new chapter began with the adoption of a new name—Quest Community Church—reflecting an ongoing pursuit of Christ and His kingdom.

We’re not a perfect church—we’re a group of people learning to find and follow Jesus together. Some days we do that well, and some days we’re still figuring it out. Our hope is that Jesus is the epicenter of everything we are and everything we do.

We value real relationships, meaningful worship, loving our neighbors in practical ways, and a faith that actually shows up in everyday life. We want Quest to be a safe place where you can come as you are, ask honest questions, bring your doubts, and explore faith at your own pace.
